Selika B. Cormier

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 4, 2006, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Selika B. Cormier, 97, who died Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at her residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Survivors include two sons, Polite Jones and his wife, Rose of Parks, Lawrence Cormier and his wife, Pearl of Houston, TX; three daughters, Myrtle Joseph of Cecilia, Mary Jane Jones of Breaux Bridge and Mae Ola Hypolite and her husband, Troy of Houston, TX; 28 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and 16 great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Polite Jones and her second husband, Orelie Cormier; two sons, Robert Jones and Horace Cormier; her parents, Joseph and Alphosine Alexander Babineaux; and her daughter, Bertha C. Williams. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
