Shane Joseph Poirier

St. Martinville - Visitation will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Thursday, December 26, 2019, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for Shane Joseph Poirier, 43, who passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at his residence. Mr. Shane was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and hunting. During his free time, he liked playing pool and softball. Most of all, Shane was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need and cherished moments spent with family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his mother, Cindy Poirier of St. Martinville; father, Giland Poirier of St. Martinville; brothers, Corey Poirier of St. Martinville and Joshua Poirier and wife Tammy of Hinesville, GA; nieces, Kora Poirier of St. Martinville, Ashlyn Poirier, and Emma Poirier of Hinesville, GA; nephews, Brandon Poirier and Noah Poirier both of Hinesville, GA; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Maynard of New Iberia; aunt, Brenda Poirier of Breaux Bridge; uncles, Lonnie Menard and wife Melanie of New Iberia, Danny Menard of New Iberia, Bran Poirier and wife Bertina of St. Martinville, Leroy Poirier and wife Judy of St. Martinville, Ronald Poirier and wife Margaret of St. Martinville; cousins, Tracy Comeaux of Breaux Bridge, Janee C.
