Shannon Elizabeth Thomas

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 4, 2009, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Shannon Thomas, 41, who passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at her residence in St. Martinville. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Msgr. Douglas Courville will conduct the services. Shannon was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. She was on the board of the non profit organization Rocking Riding for Autism and was an avid reader, especially James Burke books. Survivors include her husband, Terril Thomas of St. Martinville; her parents, Bill and Theresa Thomsen of Tallahassee FL.; her maternal grandparents, William and Verner Roberts; her sons Trey James Thomas and Donnie James Thomas both of St. Martinville; and her brother Chris Thomsen of Tallahassee, FL. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
