Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, for Sharon Louise LeBlanc, 69, who passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.
A Rosary will be prayed by the Theresians at 6:00 PM on Friday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
Sharon was born on February 16, 1953, to the late Clay and Mildred B. Huval. She retired from BellSouth phone company with 34 years of service. Sharon was a faithful member of the Catholic Daughters and Theresians International. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, cooking, baking, reading, shopping, and playing Pokeno with her retired coworkers. Some of her best days were spent traveling and camping with Rodney. She was very devoted to her grandchildren and anything they were involved in. Her family meant the world to her, and she loved them to the moon and back. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rodney LeBlanc; son, Nick and wife Anne LeBlanc; granddaughters, Emma LeBlanc and Elise LeBlanc; and brothers, Mike Paul (Tiffany) Huval and Brian (Jackie) Huval.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Mildred Begnaud Huval; and her daughter, Heather LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Nick LeBlanc, Chris Huval, Craig Champagne, Mike Huval, Danny LeBlanc, and Perry Calais.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd, Ste. 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
