Shawn Joseph Berard

Loreauville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, September 27, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville, for Shawn Joseph Berard, 21, who passed away on Friday, September 21, 2007, in Cade. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum. Rev. Mario Romero will be the Celebrant. A graduate of Breaux Bridge High School, Shawn worked as a marble polisher. He is survived by his father, Gregg Berard and wife Terry of New Iberia; mother, Angela Theriot of Parks; fianc?, April Dautreuil of Cade; grandmothers, Audrey Berard of Coteau Holmes, Beulah McGee of Lafayette; sons, Logan and Landon Berard, both of Cade; brother, Devran Berard of New Iberia; sisters, Nina Berard of Arnaudville, Hana Berard of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lawrence ""Pete"" Berard and Leslie Paul Theriot. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service. Pallbearers include Danny Berard, Peter Berard, Jamie Dejean, Jake Dore, Kevin Fruge, and Wydell Chataignier.
