New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM , Monday, January 2, 2012 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Shawn Elliot Hebert, 38, who passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Lafayette . Interment will follow in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery, in Abbeville. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . Born on July 11, 1973 in New Iberia , Shawn enjoyed music, playing his drums, and spending time with his family. Please wear red, Shawn's favorite color, to help the family celebrate his life. Survivors include his grandmother, Betty Hebert of Loreauville; sons, Devin Romero, Dustin Romero, Dylan Hebert all of Lafayette ; daughters, Bailey Hebert of Loreauville, Rileigh Hebert of Lafayette ; brother, Derrell James Hebert, Jr. of New Iberia; sisters, Amy Etie of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Brooke Etie of Dallas, Texas; step brothers, Donald Joseph Etie, Jr. and Darrin Etie both of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his father, Derrell James Hebert, Sr., and his mother, Maxine Romero Hebert Etie. Pallbearers include Devin Romero, Dustin Romero, Dylan Hebert, Derrell Hebert, Jr., Amy Etie, Brooke Etie, David Romero, and Kip 'Dirty' Gonsoulin.
