New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Sheila Myers Blanchard, 43, who passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, in New Iberia. Private interment will be in the Picard Cemetery, in Milton. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Sheila was born on September 15, 1972 to Ronald and Ruby Robicheaux Myers. She worked as a caregiver at Helping Hands of Acadiana, and she enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors her husband, Hugues Blanchard, Jr. of New Ibiera; son, Hugues Blanchard, III and wife fiance' Kimberly Alleman of New Iberia, LA; daughters, Anna Blanchard and companion Albert Friou, Jr. of New Iberia, Brook Blanchard and companion John Garcia of Lafayette; sisters, Ellen Bonin and husband Alfred of Parks, Mona Bonin of New Iberia, Lucille Dore of New Iberia, Christine Bonin and husband Paul Bonin, Sr. of Lydia; brother, Ronald Myers, Jr. and wife Christine of New Iberia; grandchildren, Breanna Blanchard, Damien Garcia; step son, P.J. Bonin of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Hugues Blanchard Jr., Hugues Blanchard III, Paul Bonin Sr., Paul Bonin Jr., Alfred Bonin, J.J.
