Sheila Girard Romero

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Sheila Girard Romero, 60, who passed away Friday, November 18, 2022.

Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Rev. Garrett Savoie will be the Celebrant.

Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home and will continue Tuesday from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm.

A rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 6:30 PM on Monday.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Ms. Romero was born on November 19, 1961, to Minos and Evelyn Moreaux Girard. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, watching movies and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Josh Romero (Jennifer) and Brad Romero (Kea Bagwell); mother, Evelyn Moreaux Girard; grandchildren, Brooke Romero, Blaise Romero, Dalyn Romero and Kylan Romero; brothers, Clayton Girard (Jackie) and Michael Girard (Melinda); sisters, Tammy Girard, Michelle Speer (Paul) and Lisa Pisani (Chuck); and her beloved dog "Matty".

She is preceded in death by father, Minos Girard and a son, Matthew Romero.
