Sheila Viator Orr

New Iberia - Private services will be held at a later date for Sheila Viator Orr, 66, who passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at her home.

A resident of New Iberia, Sheila was born in Abbeville, Louisiana on May 29, 1956. She enjoyed sharing stories, especially those involving her children and grandchildren, who brought her great pride. Flowers and gardening were things that brought her joy. Sheila was a free spirit who found solace in nature. As a fluent Cajun French speaker, Sheila cherished her Cajun heritage, and loved a good Cajun meal. She is now forever at peace, reunited with the many people she lost through the years.

Mrs. Orr is survived by her children, Venus Soileau (Jared), Chante' Viator, Roberta Hardcastle (Eric), and Jesse Orr (Lama); brother, Tracy Viator; sister, Karla Borde; grandchildren, Carver, Jolie Rory, Kya, Reece, Sawyer, Finn, Juniper and Valerie; and a great-grandson, Jasper.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Orr; father, Golden Ray Viator; mother, Sable Thibodeaux DuBois; step-father, Lovelace "Shine" DuBois; and brothers, Landis Viator and Duane DuBois.
