Sheila Picard Racca

New Iberia - A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Sheila Picard Racca, 57, who passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. Entombment will be at a later date. A native of St. Martinville and a resident of New Iberia, Sheila Ann Picard Racca was born on December 19, 1960. She enjoyed going to the casino, flower arranging/home decor, and helping people. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Sheila was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be deeply missed. Sheila is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Racca; daughters, Leslie Picard Tardy and husband James Tardy, and Christy Bouy, all of New Iberia; sons, Joseph Mark Picard and companion, Evelyn Noel, and Christopher John Picard, all of Breaux Bridge; sisters, Penny Champagne and husband Ricky, Shelly Picard, and Sandra Picard Thomas, all of New Iberia; a brother, Dennis Bouy of New Iberia; and grandchildren, Sarah McKenly Picard, Devin Isaac Picard, Logan Bonin, Blakesyn Bouy, Mc’Kenizy Boudeloche, and Jayla Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her father, Dieudonna Picard; mother, Barbara R. Bouy, and brother, Kevin Picard. Pallbearers will be Joseph Picard, Logan Bonin, Taylor Picard, Christopher Picard, Shawn Picard, and Ricky Champagne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
