New Iberia -A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 9:30 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia , for Shelia Marie Lamperez, 49, who passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010 in New Iberia . Interment will be at a later date. Born on January 13, 1961 , Shelia always had a smile on her face, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her mother, Loretta Daigle Lamperez of New Iberia; brothers, Tommy Lamperez and wife Tammy, Phillip Lamperez and wife Kay, Richard Daigle and wife Monica all of New Iberia, Dave Lamperez of Jennings; sisters, Barbara Derouen and husband Mark of New Iberia, Sherry Lamperez and fiance, Loren Romero of St. Martin Parish; boyfriend, Randy Provost of New Iberia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Doris J. Lamperez, Sr.; brother, Doris J. 'DJ' Lamperez, Jr.; godchild, Cordel Lamperez; and her paternal and maternal grandparents. The family would like to give special thanks to Mark and Barbara Derouen for the extra ordinary care and compassion that they gave to Shelia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Wednesday at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia .
