Cecilia- Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Shelly Ann Lormand LeBlanc, 29, who passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Father Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Shelly was employed by Onebane Law Firm, as a law librarian. She had the sincerest and kindest heart and was a friend to all who knew her. Survivors include her daughter, Shanna Lynn LeBlanc; her mother, Carol Clause Lormand of Lafayette; her father, Joseph 'Joey' Lormand of Prairieville; her sister, Tessa Lormand Taylor; her half-brother, Jamyson Noel; maternal grandmother, Joyce Clause; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Lorena Lormand; her godparents, Cheryl Clause Bourque and Glen Robin; and her boyfriend, Craig Champagne. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Emery Clause. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Friday, October 7th, from 11 a.m. and continue until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Carl Bourque, Todd Clause, Justin Stelly, Troy Angelle, Rees LeBlanc, and Scotty Robin. Pellerin Funeral Homeof Ceciliais in charge of arrangements.
