Shelton Faucheaux

November 20, 1938 — March 4, 2012

- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Shelton Joseph Faucheaux, 73, who passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012. Rev. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift bearers will be Kali and Holly LaGrange. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Mr. Faucheaux enjoyed hunting, camping, going to the horse races, playing a good game of cards with his family and friends, and he loved watching football and baseball games. Shelton loved making people laugh with his jokes and sharing his stories of when he was growing-up, his work in the oilfield, and when he married the love of his life, Anna Mae. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed listening to music and watching T.V. Shelton most especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the pride and joy in his life. He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae "Nan Noon" LeBlanc Faucheaux of Henderson; two sons, Eugene Faucheaux and wife, Paula, and Shenny Berard, and wife, Donna, all of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Delores LaGrange and husband, Jim, of Arnaudville; his brother, Ranell Lee Faucheaux and wife, Thelma, of St. Martinville; his sister, Eursule Latiolais and Zerven Lasseigne of Catahoula; seven grandchildren, Chase LeGrand and wife, Tiffanie, Constance and Candace Faucheaux, Kali and Holly LaGrange, Madison Berard, and Kerry Alleman; and two great grandchildren, Alaina Champagne and Cooper LeGrand. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Denise Stelly Faucheaux; two brothers, Nolan Collin Faucheaux; and a sister, Ann Cormier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am on Tuesday and continue time of service on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Shenny Berard, Chase LeGrand, Candace Faucheaux, Phil Courville, Jim LaGrange, Troy Faucheaux, and Eugene Faucheaux. His family would like to extend special thanks to all of his doctors and his caregiver, who cared for him during his time of need. Pellerin Funeral Home of is in charge of arrangements.
