Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Shelton Goodie, 63, who passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Pellerin Funeral Home, 665 Dauterive St in Breaux Bridge, LA. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fr. Joe Campion., will officiate at the funeral mass . Scriptures will be read by Francine Gary and Sasha Lewis. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Shelton was a member of True Friend and the Midnight Trail Rider Club. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and hanging out with friends and family. Survivors include his wife of 17 years Jacklyn Lewis Goodie of Breaux Bridge; his parents, Joseph Boston Goodie and Azama Soloman Goodie of Breaux Bridge; his sons, Cashia (Tiffany) Demouchet of Carencro; Scory (Domita) Demouchet of Breaux Bridge; Rashida (Tracy) Williams of Breaux Bridge; Shelton (Dana) Parker of Lafayette and Joseph (Tanika) Demouchet of Liberty, MS; his daughters, Christine (Christopher) Demouchet of Breaux Bridge, Kizzy Demouchet of Liberty, MS, Shermaine Parker of Breaux Bridge and Tristen LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge; his step children, Paul (Natalie) Parker of Breaux Bridge, Bridgette Parker of Lafayette and Jacoby (Malette) Lewis of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Mary Alice (Melot) Lewis of Cecilia and Mona Gordon of Cecilia; 32 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sedonia and Valsin Soloman; his paternal grandparents, Adelmae and Jean Batiste Goodie; his brothers, Alton and Melvin Goodie; his sister, Velma Goodie; his nephew, Quinton Goodie and his great niece, Kaylen Goodie. Pallbearers will be his sons, Cashia Demouchet, Scory Demouchet, Rashida Williams, Shelton Parker, Joseph Demouchet and his nephew, Kevin Goodie. Pellerin Funeral Home of 665 Dauterive St., Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
