Shelton "Shelo" LeBlanc

Breaux Bridge Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Shelton LeBlanc, 84, who passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday Fr. Donald Poussan will conduct the services. Reading the scriptures for the service will be Blake LeBlanc and Bess Guidry. Serving as gift bearers will be Jennifer Langlinais and Julie Guidry. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mr. LeBlanc served his country in the National Guards. He operated a mechanic work clothes rental business for 25 years. He also owned and operated Hub City Septic Tanks for many years and Shelos Caf where he loved visiting with the locals. He was known for his love of cooking, shared many of his cooking tips along with his time cooking for the BBVFD which he truly enjoyed. Mr. LeBlanc was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Breaux Bridge. He is survived by his sons, James "Butch" (Margie) LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge, Johnny (Sue) LeBlanc of Krotz Springs, Paul (Wendy) LeBlanc and Jeff (Melanie) LeBlanc, all of Breaux Bridge; his daughters, Katherine "Kat" (Ralph) Caillier, Mary (Mike) Hebert, Julie (Mike) Guidry, Jennifer (Teddy) Langlinais all of Breaux Bridge; one niece, Linda (Glen) Gallet; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; his dog, Chloe and his adopted family, the Guttrys, that he loved as his own. He is preceded in death by his wife, Emilie Guidry LeBlanc; his parents, Clovis and Laurence LeBlanc; half brothers, Wade and Wesley LeBlanc; his nephew, Barry LeBlanc; an infant granddaughter and a step grandson. Pallbearers will be Blake LeBlanc, Karl LeBlanc, Wil Langlinais, Chase Hebert, Derek Hebert, Paul LeBlanc, Jeff LeBlanc and Johnny LeBlanc. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503 Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
