Sherman Willingham

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Sherman ""Man"" Willingham, 83, who died on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at his residence. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, in Carencro. Mr. Willingham was a veteran of World War II, having honorably served his country in the United States Army. ?He received the Purple Heart Medal with Two Oak Leaf clusters. Survivors include his son, Curtis, and his wife, Karen Olivier Willingham, of Lafayette; his brother, Ira Willingham, of Slidell; his sisters, Helen Parks, of Arnaudville and Lucille Willingham, of Illinois; and one grandson, David Willingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine and Lucy Babineaux Willingham. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 9 ?a.m. on Thursday until time of service. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
