Sheryl Whitmore

Cecilia - A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m.Saturday, February 25, 2012 at St. Joseph Cemetery for Sheryl Marie Whitmore, 64, who passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Fr. Chester Arceneaux, Pastor of St. John Cathedral in Lafayette, will conduct the services. Ms. Whitmore was an educator who taught school for 10 years and was very involved with the C.E.T.A. program for 10 years. She was a member of the A.A.R.P. Sheryl is survived by two brothers, Sonny Whitmore of Alexandria, and Allen Whitmore of Houston, TX; three sisters, Almarie Barilleaux of Breaux Bridge, Elo Dean Whitmore of Lafayette, and Nita F. Whitmore of Paris, France. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews, whom she adored and thought of as her own children. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Elo Whitmore, Sr.; her mother, Nita Hebert Whitmore, and her sister, Charlotte W. Huval. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia, (337-332-2111), is in charge of arrangements.
