Shirley Mae Bergeron

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 pm, on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for, Shirley Mae Bergeron, 81, who passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 8:00 am until 2:30 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Antoinette Lalonde and Roma Angelle. Gift Bearers will be Emmaline Mallet and Rose Dekerlegand. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Mrs. Bergeron loved spending her time volunteering at St. Theresa's in Arnaudville. She cherished moments spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Stafford "Pip" James Angelle and wife Marilyn of Opelousas and Earl "Boo-Boo" Phillip Bergeron and wife Georgie of Leonville; daughters, Lucy Ann Bergeron Guilbeau and husband Broudie of Arnaudville, Janice Marie Bergeron Estilette and husband Raphael of Port Barre, Margaret Ann Bergeron Kidder of Arnaudville, and Leah Lynn Bergeron Bailey and fianc Steven Litwiller of Shreveport; brothers, Kermit Angelle and wife Roma of Arnaudville and Norris John Angelle and wife June of Lafayette; sisters, Florence Montet of Lafayette, Ethel Lee Lalonde and husband Wilson of Arnaudville, and Lilly Meyers, who was also her Godchild, of Opelousas; 20 grandchildren and 21great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Antoine "Free" Bergeron; father, Dieu Donne Angelle; mother, Luce Quebedeaux Angelle; brother, Warren Angelle; sister, Jeanette Lalonde; grandson, Adrien Stoney Angelle; and nephew, Timmy Meyers. Pallbearers will be Brennan Latiolais, Ariel Angelle, Chris Bailey, Dirk Bergeron, Blake Bergeron, and Kyle Savoy. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Bergeron and Dustin Kidder.
