Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm, on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Shirley Ann Trosclair Broussard, 79, who passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, in Lafayette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:30 am until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 1:00 pm. A Cursillo rosary will be prayed at 7 pm on Wednesday. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Cindy Guidry and Alicia Broussard. Gift Bearers will be Baylie Landry, Amber Theriot, and Taylor Theriot. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. She enjoyed attending her Mass at St. Bernard on Saturday, listening and dancing to Cajun music, playing cards, going to the casino, caring for those in need, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, that special sense of humor, and being a practical jokester to all. She is survived by her son, Jacob Broussard of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Jennifer Theriot and husband Davis, Jr. of Breaux Bridge, Patricia Schoenfelder and husband Lance of Farmerville; brother, Nathan Trosclair and wife Marlene of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Christine Broussard, Roy Broussard and his wife, Kristy, Isaac Broussard, Erica Castille Begnaud and husband Todd of Breaux Bridge, Monica Anderson, Baylie Landry and husband Mark, Dax Schoenfelder, Amber Theriot, and Taylor Theriot; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Murphy Broussard, Sr., son, Murphy Broussard, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Anderson; parents, Ernest and Marie "Me'yone" Cormier Trosclair; brothers, Patrick Trosclair and Ellis Trosclair; and sisters, Agnes Broussard, Martha Cormier, and Viola Trosclair. Pallbearers will be Roy Broussard, Todd Begnaud, Isaac Broussard, Nathan Trosclair, Luke Begnaud, and Lance Schoenfelder Honorary pallbearers will be Oneal Guidry, A.J.
