A native of Long Island, New York, and a resident of New Iberia, Shirley Feldman, 85, passed away at 12:20 AM, Monday, November 06, 2006, at Maison Teche Nursing Center. Shirley lived at Azalea Estates in New Iberia, loved to crochet and made many bookmarkers for the schoolchildren of New Iberia, as well as numerous baby blankets. She also spent countless hours baking for charitable events during her retirement in Florida.
She is survived by her son, David Feldman and wife Barbara of New Iberia, daughter, Louise Scarfone and husband Anthony of Fort Myers, Florida, four grandchildren, Christopher and Jenna Feldman, Lisa Scarfone Beck and husband Adam, and Steve Scarfone and wife Nickie, five great grandchildren, Jordan, Kayla and Kevin Beck, Max and Sam Scarfone; her brother David Siegel and wife Harriet; her sister, Ann Levin and husband Irving.
Mrs. Feldman was preceded in death by her husband, who was her high school sweetheart, Herbert Feldman, and her parents, Louis and Dora Siegel.
