Leonville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 22, 2018, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church for Shirley Brasseaux Robin, 77, who passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm on Monday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Monday. Rev. Kenneth Domingue will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Kelly Guidroz and Cain Doucet. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Shirley was born in Arnaudville to the late Dewey and Clothilde Knott Brasseaux. She was a registered nurse for 22 years and worked for St. Landry Parish jail. Shirley loved helping people and enjoyed reading. She is survived by her sons, Dale and Glen Robin; her daughter, Denice Doucet; her grandchildren, Cain Doucet, Jules Robin, Ashton Doucet, Kelly Guidroz, Chantelle Howell, and Robbie Stelly; her great grandchildren, Gibson Guidroz, Storm Howell, Gracelyn Robin, and Reid Guidroz; and her sister, Margie LeBlanc. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Robin; her parents, Dewey and Clothilde Knott Brasseaux; her daughter in law, Linda Robin; her sisters, Joyce Clause, Verlie Angelle, and Leanna Sanders; her nephew, Michael Sanders; her great niece, Shelly Lormand; her mother in law, Bridget Robin; and her father in law, Jewls Robin. Pallbearers will be Dale Robin, Cain Doucet, Jules Robin, Ashton Doucet, Butch LeBlanc, and Carl Bourque.
