Shirley Guidry Wiltz

Cecilia- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Shirley Guidry Wiltz, 82, who passed away on October 2, 2023 at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home. 

 A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Saturday from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

 A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 AM on Saturday. 

Rev. Keith Landry will officiate at the funeral mass. Reader will be Cody Landry, Gift bearers will be Sydney Wiltz, Pam Wiltz and Rhonda Wiltz.

 Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. 

 Shirley was born on August 10, 1941 in Arnaudville.  Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had an unwavering commitment to her loved ones and always made sure they felt special. Whether it was preparing delicious meals or organizing family get-togethers, Shirley's greatest joy came from spending time with those she held dear.

One of Shirley's passions in life was cooking. She took immense pleasure in sharing meals with her loved ones and watching their faces light up with delight.

Apart from her culinary talents, Shirley also enjoyed unwinding with a cold beer and music. Whether it was a quiet night at home or a lively gathering with friends, she could always be found enjoying the company of loved ones while tapping her feet to the rhythm of the music.

 She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Rhonda) Wiltz, Kerry (Pam) Wiltz and Tracy (Joey) Hebert; grandchildren, Brennan Hebert, Kameron Hebert, Sydney Wiltz, Connor Wiltz, Cody Wiltz, Bryce Wiltz and Cody Landry (Skyler); great grandchildren, Alysse Landry and Samuel Landry; siblings, Leonard Guidry, Aristille Guidry, Lucy LeGrange, Cecile LeGrange and Mary Ann LeGrand.

 She is preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Wiltz; parents, Eliza and Ida Stelly Guidry; siblings, Verna Granger, Loretta Taylor, James Guidry, Alton Guidry, Jane Laneaux and Oliver Guidry.

 Pallbearers will be Brennan Hebert, Kameron Hebert, Connor Wiltz, Cody Wiltz, Bryce Wiltz, and Cody Landry. 

 The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Landmark of Acadiana.
