Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Skyler Patrick Hebert, 30, who passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 am until 9:45 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 pm on Tuesday.
Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Marcie Landry, Logan Duplechien, and Adria Theriot. Gift Bearers will be John Taylor and Rita Hebert.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Skyler enjoyed playing sports when he was in high school. He loved the outdoors; working with Cajun Blades gave him the opportunity to be where he loved being. He had a very infectious personality that brought people together. Skyler never met a stranger in his life and if you met him once, you were a friend for life. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends, and how hard he worked to make a better life for himself and others that loved him.
He is survived by his loving father, Charles (Chuck) Patrick Hebert of Cecilia; mother, Renee' Hebert of Cecilia; daughter, Ella Rebert of Cecilia; sister, Caitlyn Hebert of Cecilia; and maternal grandfather, Francis E. Landry of Baton Rouge.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jade Charles Hebert; paternal grandparents, Deanna and Charles Hebert, Sr.; and maternal grandmother, Dianna L. Halphen.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Blanchard, Logan Duplechien, Orry Duplechien, Cabe Duplechien, Devin Artigue, and Colby Burghoff. Honorary pallbearers will be his Godfather, Johnny Hebert, Luke Boyer, Dannah "Buttabean" Blanchard, Heath Hebert, and Daniel Dillard.
