Solange Judice Babineaux

St. Martinville - Solange Judice Mire Babineaux, of St. Martinville, born December 10, 1914, passed away peacefully at St. Martinville Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, August 6, 2009. In lieu of a funeral service, a small private family memorial will be held at a later date. Ms. Sol, as she was fondly called, was a native and resident of St. Martinville all her life. She was a parishioner of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. She served as a nurse at St. Martin Infirmary for 35 years. Ms. Sol is survived by one daughter, Bernie Laure Mire Braud Deal, and her husband, Baxter, and one son, Clifton Shelby Mire, and his wife, Jackie; 9 grandchildren, Ashley Christine Braud Broussard, Rock Nolan Braud II (Ingrid), of Plano, TX, Clifton Mire, Jr. (Mary), of Tyler, TX, Grant, David (Becky), Michael (Darla), Christopher, Andrew (Cheryl), and Andrea (Pinky) Mire, all of St. Martinville. 13 great grandchildren, John Albert Foti, John David Foti, Nicole (Niki), Matthew James Broussard, Madeline (Maddie) Christine Broussard, of St. Martinville, Victoria Elizabeth Braud, Rock Nolan Braud III, of Plano, TX, Cherie and Clifton Mire III, of Tyler, TX, Luke Mire, of San Antonio, TX, Stefan Mire and Heather Mire Gonzales (Nick), Lauren Mire and Brooke Mire Kaufman (Ray), of St. Martinville; 3 sisters, Verna Judice Bienvenu, of New Iberia, Theresa Judice LeBlanc, of Houston, TX, and Gladys Judice Oubre, of St. Martinville. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clifton Mire and Line Babineaux; her parents, Godfrey Judice and the former Laure Dugas; one sister, Merza J. Ducharme; and son-in-law, Nolan Lee Braud. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
