Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January ?25, 2007, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Solange G. Guidry, 94, who died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at her residence in Nina. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in Henderson. Mrs. Guidry was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Ladies Altar Society and Rosary Group, and the Nina Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include her son, Larry Guidry and his wife, Betty of Nina; her daughter, Priscilla de Laloire and her husband, John of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Douglas Guidry and his wife, Annette, Marty Guidry and his wife, Sheri, all of Nina, Kristine Devillier and her husband, Johnny of Breaux Bridge, Laurie Serrano and her husband, Mike of Tampa, FL, and Eric de Laloire of Frost Proof, FL,; eight great grandchildren, Amanda O'Rourke of Colorado Springs, CO, Tana Guidry, Trent Guidry, Kylie Guidry, Noah Guidry, all of Nina, Ali Devillier of Breaux Bridge, Brooke Serrano and Brent Serrano, both of Tampa, FL; and one great-great grandchild, Sydney O'Rourke of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Guidry; her parents, Lucas and Belzier Guidry; four brothers, Julien, Remy, Paul and Clarence Guidry; and six sisters, Lucille Latiolais, Anita Zimmerman, Leota Guidry, Yola Leonard, Amelie Zimmerman, and Eliza Guidry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Pallbearers will be John de Laloire, Douglas, Marty, and Trent Guidry, Johnny Devillier, and Earl Guidry. The family would like to thank St. Theresa's Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. and their staff, especially Madge Larson, Melinda Narcisse, and Cynthia Auguillard, for the care given to Mrs. Guidry during her illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Theresa's Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 100 General Mouton Ave., Lafayette, LA 70501.
