Stanley Guidry

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, November 14, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Stanley Joseph Guidry , 96, who passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Keith Landry , will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Stanley was a member in the Civilian Conservation Corps known as the 'CCC Camps,' a non-profit organization dedicated to research, preservation, and education. He worked for 34 years and one month with Exxon and retired in 1976. When Stanley was not working, he spent his time hunting, fishing and nurturing his garden, which produced beautiful vegetables.Survivors include his sisters in law, Mrs. Roy (Marcel) Guidry and Mrs. Agnel (Bea) Huval of Cecilia; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Huval Guidry; his parents, Thomas and Germaine Angelle Guidry; his brothers, Edwin, Roy and Jessie Guidry; his sisters, Lavina G. Ray and Fabiola G. Yunis Trosclair. Pallbearers will be Tommy Guidry, Robert James Guidry, Kenneth Guidry, Jack Ray, Ty and Ron Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be John Yunis and Allen Blanchard, Jr.The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
