Stella Jane Hebert Broussard

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Stella Jane Hebert Broussard, 89, who passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 12:45 pm on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 noon on Friday. Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Stella Jane was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Society. She was a proud graduate of Cecilia High School where she was the class Valedictorian. Stella served as the Post Master of the Cecilia Post Office for more than 25 years. She enjoyed playing Pokeno and going to the casino. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia B. Duplechien and husband Dudley of Cecilia, Martha S. Broussard of Cecilia, and Lisa B. Sonnier and husband Rocky of Breaux Bridge; son, William Keith Broussard and wife Janet of Cecilia; son-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Campbell, III of Cecilia; grandchildren, Kelcie Campbell, Kamron Campbell, Amy Duplechien Scrantz, Patti Duplechien Rood and husband Chris, William Justin Broussard, Baylon Sonnier and wife Christina, and Elise Sonnier; and great grandchildren, Alex Rood, Ayden Rood, Asa Rood, Anistyn Rood, Ardyn Rood, Colyn Scrantz, Elly Scrantz, and Brynlie Lassiter. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Tom" Joseph Broussard, Jr.; her daughter, Stacie Broussard Campbell; and her parents, Fernand and Eve Aurilie Guidry Hebert.
