St. Martinville - Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Saint Martinville, for Stephen Burchell Bienvenu, 64, who passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday and continue at 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Tuesday. Rev, Gary Funderburk, will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville. Stephen was retired from S & R Oilfield SVCs where he was owner/operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved animals. He is survived by his mother, Jessie Reasoner Bienvenu; his wife, Carol Potier Bienvenu; his son, Andre (ZuZana) Bienvenu; his stepsons, Guy (Theresa) Amy, Bill (Tracy) Amy, and Jason Amy; his brothers, Jan (Nina) Bienvenu, Dennis (Liz) Bienvenu, Wesley (Karen) Bienvenu, III, and Raymond (Nadean) Bienvenu; and his grandchild, Jakub Kopejtko. He is preceded in death by his father, Wesley Charles Bienvenu, Jr. Pallbearers will be Andre Bienvenu, Dennis Bienvenu, Wesley Bienvenu, Raymond Bienvenu, J. R. Bienvenu, Guy Amy.
