Steve T. Myers

New Iberia – A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, May 12, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Steve T. Myers, 69, who passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rev. Keith Landry will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Friday, from 8:00 am until 10:00 am. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:00 pm Thursday.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Myers was born on February 1, 1954, to the late Nelton and Betty Hebert Myers. He was a 1972 graduate of New Iberia Senior High, and then graduated, with an accounting degree, from USL, now University of Louisiana Lafayette. He worked his entire career in the oil industry as an accountant and in management. An avid LSU fan, Steve enjoyed gardening, boxing, and playing golf.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Waguespack Myers; children, Jason Myers and Heather Myers Frith (Scott); grandchildren, Chet Ransonet (Tabi), Chase Ransonet, Alicee Frith, and Gracie Frith; brother, Dave Myers; and his godchildren, Chris Myers, Brennan Cuccia, Donna Waguespack Neuville, and Casey Myers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Craig Myers; and a brother, Chris Myers.

Pallbearers will be Jason Myers, Scott Frith, Chase Ransonet, Tim Boudreaux, Ned Boudreaux, and Mac Boudreaux.

Honorary pallbearers include Chris Myers, Chet Ransonet, Ted Derise, Jeremy Parfait, and Ralph Broussard.
