Steven "Charlie" Johnson

New Iberia - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Steven "Charlie" Johnson, 62, who passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021, in Lafayette. Interment will be at a later date. Rev. Paul Onuegbe will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am at Pellerin Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19, the Johnson family request that family and friends wear face masks and practice social distancing while attending the visitation and funeral service. A longtime area resident, Mr. Johnson was born on May 22, 1958 in Lafayette, and served our country in the National Guard. He worked for the Iberia Parish School Board, and enjoyed dancing, telling jokes, and was always “the life of the party”. He is survived by his son, Steven Johnson of Lake Charles; two daughters, Kiela Johnson of New Orleans, and Tyesha Joseph of Natchitoches; four sisters, Jennifer Broussard of New Iberia, Denise Broussard of Loreauville, Phyllis Broussard of Loreauville, and Barbara Dozier of Loreauville; four brothers, Dennis Broussard of Loreauville, Oscar Broussard of St. Martinville, Joseph R. Broussard of New Iberia, and John Broussard of Virginia; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
