Steven Delahoussaye

New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Steven Delahoussaye, 53, who passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, in Erath. Interment will be at a later date. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A resident of Erath, Steven was born on December 14, 1963 in New Iberia to Elmo and Ethel Duplantis Delahoussaye. He was a 1981 graduate of New Iberia Senior High and was an active member of N.A. Steven enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, watching movies and playing music. Survivors include his parents, Elmo and Ethel Duplantis Delahoussaye of New Iberia; daughters, Ashley Marie Delahoussaye of Erath, Alexsis D. Maturin and husband Seth of New Iberia, Katlyn Delahoussaye and fiance' Jarret J. Livingston of New Iberia; sister, Andrea D. Purdy and husband Gene "Skip" Purdy of New Iberia; 12 grandchildren; former wife, Christine Darby Delahoussaye of Erath, LA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristen Lynn Delahoussaye; nephew, Ethan Thomas Purdy; grandparents, Ophe and Henrietta Creighton Delahoussaye, Henry and Effie Derouen Duplantis. Steven donated his body to LSU Medical Science. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Iberia Senior High Band, 1301 E. Admiral Doyle, New Iberia, LA 70560.
