Steven Hebert

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Steven Craig Hebert, 60, who passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 12:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday by Kevin Theriot. Readers will be Jenny Carlock and Ange' Latiolais. Gift bearers will be his four grandchildren. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Steven worked in the oilfield for 40 years, and enjoyed every day working. He truly loved his job. Steven enjoyed to BBQ, hunt, fish, and be with his family, especially snacking with his grandchildren. He had a furry friend that he also liked to spoil, his dog, CoCo. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving spouse of 44 years, Laura Serrette Hebert; son, Beau and wife Jill Theriot Hebert; daughter, Kim Hebert; sister, Celeste Bourque and husband Roland; and grandchildren, Tristen Ferguson, Kas Ferguson, Ridge Hebert, and Charlee Hebert. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Whitney Hebert; parents, Michael and Mary Virginia Hebert; sisters, Donna Ozenne and Cathy Provost; brother, Bobby Hebert; and nephews, Joey Ozenne and Gene Ozenne. Pallbearers will be Beau Hebert, Kenny Serrette, Nick Vidrine, Roy Fuselier, Meko Belaire, and Brian Cormier. Honorary pallbearers will be Tristen Ferguson, Kas Ferguson, Scott Bourque, Lance Provost, and Bubba Allbritton.
