Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Susan Marie Berard, 62, who passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, in Natchez, MS.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday.

A Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 pm on Friday.

Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Memorial Service. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes.

Susan was employed by the Condoria Parish Sheriff's Department.  As a pastime, she loved working and training Thoroughbred racehorses.  She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Martha Swiney of Breaux Bridge; sister, Sherry Byrnes (Van Phillips) of Natchez, MS; half-sister, Michelle Domingue of Franklin; six stepsisters, Annette Bourque of Coteau Holmes, Becky Daigle (Wayne) of Coteau Holmes, Darlene Arnaud of Abbeville, Marlene Frederick (Carl) of Parks, Jeri Allison (Joe) of Richmond, KY, and Joni Walters of Lafayette; two stepbrothers, Jeff Swiney (Edie) of Scott and John Swiney (Becky) of Lafayette; godchild, Dana Wilson (Paul Wayne) of Vidalia; brother-in-law, Roy Savoy, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Allen Antoine (Shirley) Berard; stepfather, James H. Swiney; stepsister, Jackie Savoy; stepbrother, Jimmy Swiney; niece, Makayla; and her faithful companion, Spinner.
