Susan Boudreaux Hardy

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm, on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Susan Boudreaux Hardy, 58, who passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 1:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon Ken Soignier at 6:30 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Shaelyn Guidry and Zoie Latiolais. Gift Bearers will be Allie Decoux and Kaylee Decoux. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Susan's greatest joy in life was serving others. She loved traveling, sewing, tackling various DIY projects, and watching football. As a nurse, she worked with compassion and tenderness. In her spare time, Susan thought of ways to help those less fortunate than herself, even as she fought her own battles. As a mother, she gave wisdom and love, and treasured every moment she spent with her family and friends. Her grace and strength are what those close to her will remember most. She is survived by her daughters, Brandi Latiolais and husband Kelly of Cecilia and Leah Richard and husband Joshua of Breaux Bridge; son, Bradley Decoux, Jr. of Church Point; sister, Glenda Latiolais and husband Kelsie of Breaux Bridge; and grandchildren, Shaelyn, Zoie, Allie, Kaylee, and Ellie. She was preceded in death by mother, Mary Lou Hebert Boudreaux; father, Dieu Donne Boudreaux; sister, Elaine Richard; and grandson, Zachary Decoux. Pallbearers will be Joshua Richard, Kelly Latiolais, Bradley Decoux Sr., Bradley Decoux Jr., Joseph "Bobby" Richard, and Kelsie Latiolais.
