Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Susan Broussard Lavergne , 67, who passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday and continue at 7:00 am until 9:30 am on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Paul LaFleur will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reading the scriptures will be Michelle and Jennifer Broussard. Gift bearers will be Carley and Evan Rodriguez. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Lavergne, her brother, Freddy (Dana) Broussard, her sisters, Rita (Phillip) Huval and Elizabeth Ann Broussard, her nephews, Randal (Millie) Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez and Christopher Broussard, her nieces, Michelle Broussard and Jennifer Broussard, and several great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by father, Francis J. Broussard and her mother, Ida Mae LeBlanc Broussard. Pallbearers will be Randal Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, Christopher Broussard, Brent Broussard, Phillip Huval and Kenneth LeBlanc.
