Susie Courville

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, April 18, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Susie Huval Courville, 87, who passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Her son, Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, JCL, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mrs. Courville was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. Survivors include two sons, Jim Courville and his wife, Betty,of Winterpark, CO, and Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, JCL, of St. Martinville; two grandchildren, Dr. Zoe Courville Franzel, PhD and Xan Courville, M.D.; and her brother-in-law, Joseph J. Courville of Cecilia. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Raymond 'Ray' Courville; and her parents, Amilcar and Bertha Dupuis Huval. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday and continue on Monday at 8 a .m. until 10:45 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
