Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, for Suzanne T. Blanchard, 78, who passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Stephen Pellessier will officiate at the funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Suzanne was born in Breaux Bridge, LA to the late Conrad and Emerante Hebert Thibodeaux. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Suzanne loved sewing, traveling, animals, and spending time with her family. The family would like to thank Tressa Francois for taking such good care of Mrs. Suzanne. Tressa was Suzanne's best friend and caregiver. She would check on her everyday even though she was not in charge of her. Tressa is a very caring person who is full of life. Suzanne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Lester Blanchard; son, Timothy Blanchard and wife Kim; daughter, Christina Blanchard Melancon; 4 grandchildren, Jarrod Melancon, Ravon Blanchard, Matthew Conn, and Emily Conn; 13 great grandchildren; and her brother, Clarence Thibodeaux and wife Elaine. She was preceded in death by her son, Shannon Adam Blanchard; parents, Conrad and Emerante Hebert Thibodeaux; brothers, Ignace and Ernest Thibodeaux; and sisters, Lavina Andrus, Verna Leger, and Vinet Patin. Pallbearers will be Timothy Blanchard, Matthew Conn, Jarrod Melancon, Ryan Melancon, Tyler Melancon, and Kevin Bonin. Honorary pallbearer is Mike Melancon.
