Arnaudville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m., on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Suzanne Louise Broussard Marks, 55, who passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at M.D. Anderson in Houston, TX. Father Allen Breaux will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Jon Robert Marks and Teddy Frederick. Gift Bearers will be Rene LeBlanc, Leah Rivera, and JoAnne Miller. Entombment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Suzanne was a member of The Catholic Daughters of the Americas - Court St. Paul 1464. A devout Catholic, her faith in God remained strong as she fought a courageous battle until her passing with her family by her side. She was a very devoted, supportive, and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Carl Marks; two sons, Lance Marks and his girlfriend, Peggy Huval, and Jake Marks and his wife, Lindsay Goulas Marks; one daughter, Jena Marks and her boyfriend, Boyd Benoit; her mother, Marcelle Mondet Broussard; two brothers, Jay Broussard and his wife, Madeline, and Paul Broussard and his wife, Adrienne; four sisters, Virginia Champagne and her husband, Douglas 'Gee,' Paulette Broussard, Liz Latiolais and her husband, Barry, and Melanie LeBlanc and her husband, Jeff; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl J. Broussard, Sr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Arnaudville from 2 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Jake Marks, Lance Marks, Jay Broussard, Paul Broussard, Ryan Latiolais, and Lyle Champagne, Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Anderson, Jason Marks, Bryce Broussard, and Boyd Benoit. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center and M. D. Anderson, especially Dr. Warren Degatur, Jr., Wendy Fuselier, PAC, and Dr. James Cole and staff, for the compassionate care given to her during these past months.
