Suzanne 'Sue' Olivier

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Suzanne Sue Mason Olivier, 81, who passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Opelousas General Health System. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 6:00 am until 1 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Lloyd F. Benoit will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Adam Olivier and Victoria Bordelon. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Sue was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. An avid gardener, Sue loved tending to her plants and working in her flower garden. She loved traveling and volunteering her time with many local organizations. Sue was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished moments spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She is survived by her son, Dr. Mark Olivier and his wife, Ginger, of Cecilia; her grandson, Stephen Adam Olivier and his wife, Kacie, of Cecilia; her granddaughter, Alexandra Leigh Olivier of San Diego, CA; and a step great grandchild, Joseph Kain Hardy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Olivier; and her parents, Louis and Alozia Courville Mason. Pallbearers will be Dr. Mark Olivier, Adam Olivier, Kurt LaPorte, Glen LaPorte, Donald James Guidry, and John Romagosa.
