Sye Iven Melancon Allemond

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2006, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Sye Iven Melancon Allemond, 20, who died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Survivors include his parents, Kim and Francine Melancon Allemond of Henderson; one brother, Stage Ivy Allemond of Cecilia; two sisters, Sloane McNew and Shawna Melancon, both of Henderson; his paternal grandmother, Alice C. Allemond of Breaux Bridge; his maternal grandmother, Mazel Vicknair of Catahoula; his maternal grandfather, Larry L. Melancon, Sr. of Parks; his maternal great grandmother, Theresa E. Lasseigne of Catahoula; one niece, Shylin McNew of Henderson; and three nephews, Austin McNew of Henderson, Lance Hebert of Breaux Bridge, and Savan Allemond of Cecilia. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Alton Allemond; maternal grandfather, Louis Melancon; maternal great grandmother, Hazel Melancon, maternal great grandfather, Leroy Vicknair, maternal great-great grandmother, Jeanne Escoyne; his aunt, Nicole Melancon; his uncle, Larry L. Melancon, Jr.; and his cousin, Shawn Michael Calais. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12 Noon on Thursday and continue until time of service on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Pallbearers will be Stage Allemond, Kyle McNew, Brandon Miguez, Mike Polk, Timmy Wiltz, and Maury Vitte. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin McNew, Timmy Savoie, Larry Melancon, Sr., Troy Morvant, Rammie Melancon, Robin Melancon, T.J. Champagne, Jonathan Champagne, Sr., Jason Durand, Mike Morvant, Jeffery Taylor and Nick Broussard. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
