New Iberia ;- Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at the Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Sylvia Greer Landry, 72, who passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2008 in New Iberia. ; Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. ; Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate. ; Born on April 6, 1936, Mrs. Landry is a retired secretary, having worked at New Iberia Senior High School for over 22 years. Her favorite pastimes included sewing, cooking, traveling, playing the piano and most of all spending time with her family. ; Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie D. Strickland and husband Gary of Shreveport, Cynthia D. DuBois and husband Jeff of New Iberia; sons, Earl J. Delcambre, Jr. of Lake Charles, Michael W. Delcambre and wife Rose Marie of Sherman, Texas; step son, Harry G. Landry, Jr. and wife Barbara of New Iberia; brother, Leonard E. "Sonny" Greer and wife Dean of New Iberia; grandchildren, Katie DuBois of New Iberia, Alex DuBois of New Iberia, Jennifer Lyon of Dallas, Samantha Lyon of Shreveport, Ryan Strickland of Shreveport, Charles Strickland of Shreveport, Christina Delcambre of Lake Charles, Nicole Delcambre of Sherman, Jonathan Espinosa of Sherman, Dawn L. Alleman and husband Tony of New Iberia, Craig Landry and wife Dawn of New Iberia; great grandchildren, Tristan Schneider of Dallas, Emmi Alleman of New Iberia, Carley, Kourtlyn and Brodey Landry of all of New Iberia. ; She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Landry; her first husband, Earl J. Delcambre, Sr.; grandsons, Phillip Lyon and Nicholas Delcambre; and her parents, Leonard Duncan and Lena Pennison Greer. ; Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 107 Global Circle, Suite 203, Lafayette, LA. 70503. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Tuesday.
