St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Teasdale James, 51, who passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm on Friday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville.
Fr. Mike Sucharski will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at House of Love Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Teasdale was born in Chicago, Illinois to Lionel and Alice Charles Narcisse. She was an excellent cook and was known for her gumbo. Teasdale was a great singer and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Alice Narcisse; husband, Ronald James; two sons, Martelle and Markavin Narcisse; two sisters, Mary Yolanda Narcisse and husband Jay, and Robin Charles Living and husband Blake; six grandchildren; Katrelle Narcisse, Jammal Mason, Da'Karyi Jones, Symia Kay Narcisse, Maddix Ronelle Narcisse, and Sayler Sellers Narcisse; and her beloved dog, Sasha.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lionel Narcisse; maternal grandparents, Yolande and Martin Charles; and paternal grandparents, Warren, Sr. and Devida Narcisse.
