Terrell M. Fontenette, Sr.

St. Martinville - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terrell M. Fontenette, Sr., 35, who passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in Baton Rouge. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at noon.

Dorrin Fontenette will officiate at the funeral service. 

Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Terrell was born on December 28, 1988, in Lafayette. He was a dedicated truck driver known affectionately as "The Dancing Truck Driver" for his love of dancing and creating TikTok videos that brought joy and laughter to those around him. 

Terrell cherished spending time with his children, cooking and bringing smiles to everyone's faces with his infectious sense of humor. His passion for life and ability to brighten even the darkest days will forever be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Jezere' Deloch Fontenette; children, Terrell Fontenette, Jr., Jerrell Fontenette, Brooklynn Fontenette, and Makhy Deloch; father, Calvin Ledet, Sr.; siblings, Terry Fontenette, Shanece Wilson (Jaralan), Lsshaver Vital, and Bailey Ledet; mother of his child, Deanna Mitchell; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Gail Fontenette; brother, Calvin Ledet, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Percy and Annabelle Fontenette; paternal grandmother, Edna Ledet; and cousin, Jeremiah Fontenette.
