Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 2, 2023 at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Terri Erwin, 51, who passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023 in Baton Rouge.
A visitation will take place at the Borel Center in Breaux Bridge on Monday from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am on Monday morning.
Father Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1.
Born on October 22, 1971, in Baton Rouge, LA, Terri was a beacon of compassion and kindness throughout her life. She dedicated her career to making a difference as a speech therapist in the healthcare industry, positively impacting the lives of countless children and their families. Terri's genuine care and unwavering support brought comfort and hope to those who needed it most.
A passionate individual, Terri found solace and joy through dance, a passion she nurtured from a young age. She pursued her love for dance at Southeastern University, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology, with a minor in dance. Her graceful performances in recitals and venues showcased her talent and allowed her to share her passion with others.
Terri's vibrant spirit and genuine love for people will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Whether it was through her infectious laughter, her honest and witty conversations, or her unwavering empathy, Terri touched the lives of both friends and strangers alike. She possessed a rare ability to create an instant connection and make everyone feel comfortable and at ease in her presence.
Deeply rooted in her faith, Terri was an active member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge. Her commitment to her religious beliefs served as a pillar in her life, providing her with strength and guidance.
Terri's devotion to helping others extended beyond her professional and spiritual life. As a member of Lori's Angels, she selflessly provided love and support to women affected by cancer, embodying compassion and solidarity.
Terri was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher Erwin; sons, Townes Erwin and Adley Erwin; parents, Bernis Graham and Monica Gautreaux Graham; brother, Mark Graham and his wife, Becky; niece, Evie Graham; nephew, Will Graham; and mother-in-law, Sue Erwin.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bernis and Evelyn Graham; maternal grandparents, Lula and Ruckle Gautreaux; and father-in-law, Michael Erwin.
