Terry Latiolais Borel

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 am on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Terry Latiolais Borel, 72, who passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette. Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday. A rosary, led by the Nativity Rosary Group, will be prayed at 5:00 pm on Sunday. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until 9:45 am. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Terry Latiolais Borel was born on September 13, 1946. Terry loved going to the casino (even though she didn't spend much!), drinking coffee, music, dancing, flowers (especially yellow roses), and her animals, but what she cherished most was time spent with her family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Terry will be deeply missed. Terry is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Harry Borel; sons, Paul Durio and fiancée, Sonya Wall ,and Kevin Durio and wife Angie, all of New Iberia; daughters, Shari Borel LaBauve and husband Kevin of Lafayette, and Nicole Labit and husband Danna of New Iberia; siblings, Sylvia Chataignier and George Chataignier, Jr., both of New Iberia; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her favorite granddog, Jack LaBauve. She was preceded in death by her father, Dalton Latiolais, mother, Heloise "Billie" Fridley Chataignier, and stepfather, George Chataignier. Pallbearers will be Dustin Durio, Jacob Durio, Taylor Durio, Kevin Durio, Jr., Logan Durio, and Eddie Bourg. Honorary pallbearers are Patches Sonnier, Donovan Broussard, Jimmy Desormeaux, and Mark Pattillo.
