Jeanerette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, on Friday, November 13, 2015, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette, for Terry G. Charpentier, 71, who passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, in Lafayette. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Jody Simoneaux will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 8:00 AM until 1:15 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM Friday. A longtime area resident, Mr. Charpentier was born on July 20, 1944 in Franklin to Frank Charpentier, Sr. and Bernadette Lancon Charpentier. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, listening to French music, and spending time with his family, especially his great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Anita DeRouen Charpentier of New Iberia; daughters, Amanda Geoffroy and husband Bryan of New Iberia, Terry Lynn Rogers and husband Keith of New Iberia; sisters, Emily Furera, Mary Lee Alcina and husband John, Linda Gail Louviere and husband Russell all of Franklin; brothers, Frank Charpentier, Jr. and wife Audrey, R.J. Charpentier and companion Evelyn Lovell all of Franklin; grandchildren, Ashley Blanchard, Rachael Roy, Lacy Rochon, Matthew Geoffroy, Nicholas Geoffroy, Kayla Rogers; great grandchildren, Gavin Roy, Mason Blanchard, Korynn Roy, Aubrie Blanchard, Giuliana Rochon, Avery Blanchard, and one due in June; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Roger; siblings, Raymond Charpentier, Odile Thibodaux, Gloria Marcott, Herman Charpentier, Darnell Charpentier, Stanley Charpentier, Barbara Boudreaux, Alan Charpentier; and his beloved pet dog, Taco. Pallbearers will be Bryan Geoffroy, Keith Rogers, Matthew Geoffroy, Nicholas Geoffroy, Joey Roy, and Ben Blanchard.
