Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Terry Kate Roy, 72, who passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 10:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Neil Pettit will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Callie Berard and Brittney Stelly. Gift bearers will be Kamryn Granier and Adalyn Guidry. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Terry Kate Roy, better known as Kate, was a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook and enjoyed gardening, listening to music, keeping a clean house, and going to the casino. Her life revolved around raising her children and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving spouse of 48 years, Louis Roy, Jr.; daughters, Kimberly Roy and spouse Amber Granier, and Kristy Roy Guidry and spouse Nicholas; mother, Sable Calais; brother, John Carrol Bergeron, Sr.; sister, Mary Janelle Bellard; and three grandchildren, Kamryn Granier, Adalyn Guidry, and Aubrey Guidry. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Belton Bergeron and Allen Calais; and her brother, Mickey Bergeron. Pallbearers will be John Carrol Bergeron Sr., Chester Wiltz, Corey Bergeron, Nelson Trahan, Nicholas Guidry, and Ben Bellard.
