Thelma Champagne Duplechin

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Thelma Champagne Duplechin, 77, who died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Duplechin enjoyed working in her yard and growing beautiful flowers. Her most treasured moments were spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Wilbert Duplechin of Breaux Bridge; one daughter, Brenda Miller and her husband, Paul, of Alexandria; two sons, Russell Champagne and his wife, Rhonda, of Kounty, TX, and Gary "Bimmie" Champagne and his fiance, Ellen Breath, of Breaux Bridge; one step-son, Kenneth Duplechin and his wife, Donna, of Youngsville; three step-daughters, Diana Thibodeaux and her husband, Randy, of Breaux Bridge, Sherry Lormand and her husband, Randy, of Waco, TX, and Rachel Ramsey and her husband, Ben, of Lafayette; one half brother, Willis Thibodeaux of Lafayette; one half sister, Ethel Doiron of Marrero; nine grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Champagne; her parents, John and Felecie Stelly; and two half sisters, Clara Belle Desormeaux and Lurcie Dore. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service. Pallbearers will be Gary "Bimmie" Champagne, Kenneth Duplechin, Paul Miller, Jonathan Miller, Randy Lormand, and Lane Duplechin. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Lormand, Rusty Champagne, Josh Champagne, and Randy Thibodeaux. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
