Thelma Guidry

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Thelma Taylor Guidry, 80, who passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at her residence in Port Barre. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery, in Arnaudville. Fr. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral service. Mrs. Guidry was homemaker who treasured the love of her family and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Survivors include one son, Albert Guidry, Jr., of Gulfport, MS; five daughters, Lourie Singleton, of Lawtell, Alice Mouille, and husband, Charles, of Carencro, Judy Guidry and companion, James Bordelon, of Opelousas, Kathleen Vampran and husband, Clyde, of Prairieville, and Kathy Ann Ortego and husband, John, of Opelousas; one brother, Harold Taylor, of Lawtell; one sister, Nita Taylor, of Arnaudville; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Guidry, Sr.; and her parents, Leo and Ella Guidry Taylor; a daughter, Celestine Knott; a son, Boisy Guidry; a grandson, Jonathan Guidry; seven brothers; and three sisters. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. on Monday and continue until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
