Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, on Friday, July 31, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Theresa W. Batiste, 86, who passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10 am on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 8 am on Friday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Theresa "Mom-T" was a retired police officer from the Breaux Bridge Police Department after serving over 15 years. She was very devoted to her family, friends, and grandkids. She enjoyed gathering with family and friends, going to the casino, fishing, and cooking. . She is survived by her loving daughter, Laura Bell Demouchet; grandchildren, Bridget Calais, Wilson Demouchet, Jr., Faylisa Roberts, Tameca Demouchet, Talaska Demouchet; brother, Evans Williams, Sr.; 16 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by mother, Yola Jean Williams, father, Parom Williams, husband, Dudley Batiste; and brothers, Alton Thibodeaux, Leroy Williams, Gelvin Williams. Pallbearers will be Dexter James Williams, Talaska L. Demouchet, Timothy Joseph Henry, Murphy Clues, Jr., Dominick Williams, and Timothy Williams.
